🧇 THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG—THE STRIPPING THAT REVEALS
Which of us hasn’t battled in the depths of the dark night—with forces unseen, with fears unnamed, with wounds unhealed? This song is born from that place. I've had my battles. So have you. And so did the saints. From the psalms of David, to the cries of Job, to the anguish of Jesus in Gethsemane, Scripture bears witness to the crucible of human suffering—the place where God meets us most intimately.

In His mercy, God often strips away what anesthetizes us—our comforts, distractions, and false securities—not to punish us, but to reveal what is most fundamental: the eternal reality of our souls before Him. It's in these crucibles that we're offered a decision. Not just a statement of belief, but a declaration of belonging.

I Am Yours is that declaration.

This isn’t a song sung from the mountaintop—it’s a song born from the valley. The kind of valley where the enemy whispers, the shadows stretch, and hope feels like a flicker. But it's in that place we remember: We are not alone. The One who formed us, who died for us, who conquered death for us, is closer in the darkness than we ever imagined.
