How could any intelligent, moral person possibly support Donald Trump? You’ve asked the question, and I’ll answer it. But first, let me ask you one:
Is your perspective shaped by the same people who insisted Biden was at the top of his cognitive game (CBS News, 2024)? That masks stopped transmission (CDC, 2021)? That “the Big Guy” had no business in Ukraine (House Oversight, 2023)? That our border wasn’t a human trafficking hub (DHS, 2024)? That a 20% cost increase was merely “transitory” (BLS, 2024)? That children mutilating themselves was "gender-affirming care" (NEJM, 2023)? That we ought to offer the same surgeries to criminals (FactCheck.org, 2024)? That sexually confused men should be allowed in women’s locker rooms (AP News, 2024)? That the Justice Department could never be politically weaponized (American Oversight, 2020)? That major media entities couldn’t possibly be commandeered for political gain (WSJ, 2025)? That crime wasn’t skyrocketing in Blue cities (FBI Crime Report, 2024)? And that abortion on demand, through all nine months of pregnancy, is not just a right, but a sacred one (Democratic Party Platform, 2024)?
My simple answer to your question: People are waking up.
The Hypocrisy of “Tolerance”
We all see the absurdity unfold—woke forces, in the name of "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," driving division, favoritism, and exclusion (Heritage Foundation, 2024). They claim to champion tolerance, yet deplatform, fire, and blacklist anyone who dares to disagree. They say Black lives matter while burning Black businesses and demonizing Black conservatives (Washington Examiner, 2023). They call themselves “Antifa,” yet weaponize violence, intimidation, and censorship—the very tactics of history’s worst fascists (DOJ, 2023). They accuse others of “hate” while dripping with venom for anyone who has made an informed choice they disapprove of. Their love is conditional, their inclusion is exclusionary, and their tolerance extends only to those who comply. These people never wanted justice—only power.
The Justice System Is a Bad Joke, and No One’s Laughing
Then there’s the joke of a Justice Department, except no one’s laughing. They aggressively prosecute conservatives for paperwork violations while letting violent criminals walk free (Manhattan DA Report, 2024). They raided Trump’s home for classified documents, yet shrugged at Biden keeping them in his garage (NARA, 2023). They buried reports of Biden family corruption before an election (House Judiciary, 2024) while turning a blind eye to actual influence peddling (House Oversight, 2024). This isn’t justice—it’s political warfare.
Big Tech and Media: The Real Propaganda Machine
And Big Tech? Legacy media? Even worse. The same people who screeched about "misinformation" are the ones who buried Hunter Biden’s laptop (Twitter Files, 2023), shut down debate on COVID’s origins (Congressional Hearings, 2024), and purged anyone questioning the 2020 election (Judiciary Committee, 2023). Biden’s administration didn’t just influence social media companies; they ordered them to censor opinions they didn’t like (Judiciary Report, 2024). Meanwhile, radical mobs physically assaulted conservative speakers on college campuses (FIRE Report, 2024). Who are the real authoritarians here?
Trump’s Growing Coalition—And the Real Reason It Terrifies the Left
And here’s the kicker: Trump’s coalition is expanding in ways that shatter the narrative. Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman, endorsed Trump and was tapped as Director of National Intelligence (The Times, 2024). Robert F. Kennedy Jr., once a liberal icon, backed Trump and was tapped for Secretary of Health and Human Services (Vanity Fair, 2024). Elon Musk, who once leaned left, endorsed Trump and was appointed to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (New York Post, 2025). Joe Rogan, the influential podcaster who once refused political labels, is now publicly backing Trump (The Independent, 2024). Vernon Jones, a former Democratic state representative, switched parties to rally behind Trump (Wikipedia, 2024). Even Bill Gates acknowledged a significant rightward shift among Silicon Valley elites, many of whom supported Biden in years past (New York Post, 2025).
What do they all have in common? They got tired of lies.
Principles Over Personalities: Trump’s Immediate Impact Through Executive Leadership
This isn’t about personalities—it’s about principles. The presidency of the United States is arguably the most consequential executive position on the planet, shaping economies, borders, global stability, and the very fabric of a nation. That begs one unavoidable question for those who detest Donald Trump: In this binary political landscape, if not him, then who? Can you name one—just one—consequential administrative accomplishment credited to Kamala Harris? I’ll wait.
Meanwhile, in his first two weeks back in office, President Donald Trump has wasted no time in demonstrating decisive leadership through a series of executive orders aimed at restoring national security, economic stability, and common-sense governance. Here are some of his most consequential actions so far:
Halting Uncontrolled Border Crossings (El Pais, 2025)
Restoring Economic Sovereignty Through Tariffs (Business Insider, 2025)
Reinstating Biological Reality: There Are Two Sexes (New York Post, 2025)
Colombia Agrees to Accept Its Criminal Deportees (The Guardian, 2025)
Eliminating Government Waste by Cutting Unnecessary Bureaucratic Jobs (Washington Examiner, 2025)
Revoking Birthright Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants (The Guardian, 2025)
Dismantling DEI and Restoring Meritocracy (Business Insider, 2025)
Ending the Weaponization of the Justice Department (House Judiciary, 2025)
Sanctions on Colombia for Drug Trafficking (The Guardian, 2025)
Expanding Economic Incentives for U.S. Manufacturing (Forbes, 2025)
By every objective measure, Trump has done more in two weeks to advance the common good of this country than Biden did in four years—often by simply reversing his destructive policies.
The contrast extends beyond policy to work ethic itself. Biden’s “workday” rarely exceeded a few hours, and he took nearly as many vacation days as workdays. In fact, he has spent over 40% of his presidency on vacation, totaling 532 days away from the White House (New York Post, 2024). Compare that to Trump, who routinely works 16-hour days, sleeps only a few hours, and makes himself available at all hours (Politico, 2017).
While Biden’s team carefully crafted a tightly controlled schedule with minimal engagement, Trump ran, and is running, a high-energy administration, holding impromptu press conferences, meeting with world leaders, and making real-time decisions. One president treated the office like a four-year retirement plan, while the other sees it as a duty to the American people. The results speak for themselves.
A Call to Trump Supporters: Don’t Be the Same Blind Partisans You Despise
But let’s not pretend all Trump supporters are saints. Some, in their ignorance and arrogance, dismiss others' dignity, contributing to the very polarization tearing this country apart. Racism and bigotry aren’t confined to one side. If we fail to recognize that, we become the mirror image of those we claim to oppose. It’s time to get below the surface, refuse to be weaponized, and recover our common humanity.
This country cannot survive if every conversation begins and ends with dehumanization. We don’t have to agree, but we do have to see each other as more than avatars of our political factions. As the song Hearts Awakened by Shatterglass Scallywags punctuates, we must ignite the fire within to heal our land before the last embers of unity burn out.
We’re not ignoring Trump’s flaws—we’re recognizing that politics isn’t about canonizing saints. It’s about facing reality. And in reality, the choice isn’t even close.
